When you enrol your child in an approved child care service, you might be entitled to receive childcare subsidy.
To receive the subsidy, you will be required to provide certain information for us to enroll you in. With the enrollment, you will only need to pay the gap fee (difference between the daily fee and childcare subsidy)
Here is the list of things that we would need you to provide:

- Your Customer Reference Number (CRN) and date of birth

- Your child's CRN and date of birth

To find out if you are eligible to receive the childcare subsidy provided by Centrelink, please log onto my.gov.au and click on the tab 'Who can get it'. Alternatively you can contact your closest service centre.

Centrelink advises that it may take anywhere from four to six weeks for childcare subsidy claims to be approved. It is recommended that you arrange for your child’s childcare in advance to ensure that the claim is approved before your child begins childcare. In doing so, you can receive the reduced rates as soon as your child begins. We can backdate the childcare subsidy for up to 28 days.

You are able to track the process of your claim online via MyGov and Centrelink, or by either calling Centrelink or visiting your closest service centre.

You would need a Customer Reference Number (CRN) if you want to claim for Centrelink payments or services.

The quickest way to get a CRN is on myGov. To start, you will need a myGov account. You can create one on the myGov website.

When you have created your myGov account, please follow the steps below to prove your identity online and get a CRN.

1.Sign in to myGov.

2.Select 'Link Centrelink' from the 'Link a service' menu.

3.Select 'No' to 'Do you have or know your CRN', followed by 'Next'.

4.Select 'Get started' on either Digital Identity or Centrelink identity verification.
